Darlene Slate Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Slate (Montgomery, Alabama), born in Princeton, Kansas, who passed away on June 12, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband L. Royce Slate of Hartselle, AL; and her parents, Eunice Augusta Larkin (Holtwick) and Aubrey Lincoln Larkin. She is survived by: her daughters, Angela J. Sherbine (Kreg) and Celia A. Powell (Richard) of Montgomery; her grandchildren, Maggie, Jackson, Russell Powell and Nathaniel Sherbine; and her brother G. Larry Larkin (Marge) of Flagstaff Arizona. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aldersgate UMC Music Ministry.
