He is survived by: his children, Tracy Lee Whitacre and David Roy Whitacre (Lesley); his grandchildren, Christa Lee Whitacre, Abigail Hope Hinson and Jessi B Whitacre; his sister Nancy Mitcham; and also, Billy and Annette Bruner. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
