She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Gray Goodwin and Willie Mae Patty; and her siblings, Rachel, Ioana, Linda, Carolyn, Buddy and Oris.
She is survived by: her husband John Travis Burgans; and her children, Tommie Jean Cook Black, Francine Eugene Cook Moats, Milledgeville, Georgia Etta Cook Swinning, Robert Kyle Taylor LaGrange, John Cleveland Burgans, Christine Patricia Burgans Flowers, Mary Ruth Burgans Henton and Travis Lee Burgans. She is also survived by 16 grand children and 14 great grand children.
