He is survived by: his sister Juanita Furr (Paul); his wife Renee Carpenter; his children, Vicky Thompson, Lori Boggs, Lisa Murphy and Jeffrey Carpenter; and his stepdaughter Jennifer Matthews. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
