He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Hilyer and Lois Hilyer; and his brother Don Hilyer. He is survived by: his wife Jan Brannan Hilyer; his children, Sue Zapata (Rick), James A. Hilyer, Melisa Ann Williford (John) and Jerry L. Bryant, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jessica Hilyer, William D. Wartman III, Cody L. Banet and Joseph D. Bryant; and his siblings, Billy A. Hilyer (Kay), Dale Hilyer and Alice A. Beam (Joe). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
