It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Karen Groome of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Granite Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Brownell and Orlo Dale Brownell; her husband Roger Groome; her daughters, Sandi Sprankle and Sheryl Gray; and her sister Donna Jepson (David).

She is survived by: her son Mark Brummer; and her stepdaughter Tina Hutto.
