It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edwin Olsen of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Bernhard Olsen; and his siblings, Linda Sharp and Bernard Johan Olsen. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Neiden Olsen; his sons, Tyler Olsen (Meghan) of Mobile, AL and Jordan Olsen of Montgomery, AL; his mother Lilly Olsen of Mobile, AL; his sisters, Margaret Olsen of Mobile, AL and Mary Olsen (Vance McCrary) of Mobile, AL; his parents-in-law, Warren and Marguerite Neiden of Mobile, AL; and his siblings-in-law, Warren Neiden, Jr. (Beth) of Mobile, AL, John Sharp of Saraland, AL and Karen Neiden of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
All recommended guidelines concerning COVID-19 will be followed to include the requirement of masks to be worn during services and reduced capacity seating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to St. Paul Lutheran Church (4475 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36109).
