He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Jones and Elma Garrett Jones; and his siblings, Carl, Billy Jones, Betty Jones Cox and Mary Ann Jones Byars.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Gould Jones; his children, Ginger Kelley (Greg) and Shane Jones (Keysa); his brother Ed Jones (Barbara); his grandchildren, Hillary Oswald (Tyler), Hannah Banach (Andrew), Hudson Kelley (Sarah), Zachary, Ethan and Karys Jones; and his great grandchildren, Kingston and Andie Banach.
