We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2020, at the age of 87, Johnny Maiben Portis (Montgomery, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Portis and Olive Portis; and his daughter Sheryl Portis Wohlford. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Holmes Portis; his children, Vicki Lynn Portis, Jon Cole Portis, Sr. (Joy), Morgan Ashli Portis and John Tucker Portis; his grandchildren, Jason Prescott Wohlford (Amy), Katie Wohlford McCracken (Billy), Sarah Kathryn Stallings (Thomas), Zoe Tewabech Portis, Elizabeth Mikell Portis, Samuel Wilder Xin Portis, James Ning Portis, Jon Cole Portis, Jr., Emelyn Tarikua Portis, Elijah James Portis, Traye Christian Portis and Zachary Solomon Zou Portis; and his siblings, Nettie Jo Cochran (Ed) and Ben Wilder Portis (Carolyn). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frazer UMC missions or Lifeline Children's Services.
