She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Chastain and Louise Chastain; her son Michael David Shepherd; her brother Norton Chastain; and her granddaughter Hayley Bell.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Kermit Shepherd Jr.; her children, Mark Shepherd (Holly), Beth Shepherd and Randy Shepherd; her brothers, Dick Chastain (Sally) and Rick Chastain (Cindy); her grandchildren, Adam Shepherd (Avery), Emme, Maddie Shepherd and Avery Varon; and her great grandchild Charli Ingram. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
