He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Spivey and Eunice Jeffcoat Spivey; and his siblings, Juanita Wilkerson, Frances Weiss, Ruth Simpson and Herman Spivey.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Hollon Spivey; his children, Ronnie (Gina Yarbrough Spivey), Wayne Spivey and Debra Spivey Phelps; his grandchildren, Somer Spivey Beatty (Geoff), Shay Spivey (Eleanor), Victoria Phelps (Joshua Dill), Hannah Spivey Maeder (Alex) and Adrienne Spivey; his great grandchildren, Jackson Beatty, Garrison Beatty and Meredith Spivey; and his sister Lillian Spivey Antes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Paul Spivey's name to Eastern Hills Baptist Church - Children's Ministry or Amedisys Hospice of Montgomery.
