He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Franklin Wells, Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth Dodson Wells; his wife Jean Byrd Wells of Montgomery, AL; his sister Yvonne Wells Key of Columbus, MS; his children, Thomas F. Wells III (Angela) of Dothan, AL and Elizabeth Wells Fritz of Montgomery, AL; and his grandchildren, Michael Aaron Fritz, Jr., William Wells Fritz, Anna Kate Wells and Frank Wells, IV.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the missions ministry of First Baptist Church.
