Wood Dozier III Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wood Dozier III (Montgomery, Alabama), who passed away on September 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wood Dozier III to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wood T. Dozier, Jr. and Jane Montgomery Dozier; and his sister Susan D. Bell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pinson Dozier; his daughters, Ellen Dozier Mayer (Randolph) and Jeanne Dozier Clayton (James); his grandchildren, Thomas Hawthorne Mayer, Troup Dozier Clayton and Lydia Grace Clayton; and his close friend Andrew P. Bell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and two aunts.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (2416 W Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, AL 36106). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
