He was predeceased by: his parents, John Weatherford and Bettye Matthews Weatherford Jr.; and his brother Bill Weatherford. He is survived by: his wife Anita Weatherford; his stepdaughter Britney Bailey; his brother Bob Weatherford; his siblings-in-law, Frances Weatherford Brown and Barry Adams (Debbie); and his sibling's children, Lucas Weatherford (Mylesa), Chase Weatherford (Stephanie), Matt Weatherford, Justin Weatherford and Heather Shirley (Alan).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
