He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rhodes and Estelle Rhodes. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Rhodes; his daughters, Tena Fleming, Renee Dickinson (Clark) and Christi Martin (Keith); and his grandsons, Ross and Grant.

In lieu of flowers, it was his desire that donations be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
