He was predeceased by : his parents, Eskel Vines and Violet Vines; and his brothers, Gene, Doug, Clifford, Richard and Johnny Vines.

He is survived by : his son Scott Rogers; his grandchildren, Chelsea Rogers (Brandon Perdiene) and Braydon Rogers; his great grandchild Mikinnea; his sisters, Gloria Hudson (Bobby) and Diane Chalmers (Charlie); and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda, Charlotte and Gail Vines.
