It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Annette Goodwin (Florence, Alabama), who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Ezell Cole; her husband Alonso Goodwin; her siblings, Alexander Barnett and Janice Langham; her grandson Braylon Savage; and her grandmother Mary Alice Taylor.
She is survived by: her mother Wilda Thompson of Florence, AL; her daughters, Laviese Southward (Ellis) and LaDava Goode of Florence, AL; her siblings, Milton Cole of Florence, AL, Pamela Wright of Florence, AL, Ingrid Barnett (William) of Florence, AL, Elaine Barnett (Victor) of Florence, AL, Janella Thompson of Florence, AL, Anita Hodges of Newark, NJ and Jennifer Noblitt (Bruce) of Huntsville, AL; her grandchildren, Maci Savage of Atlanta, GA, Navy Farris of Emeri Savage, Ala Stewart Ellis of Florence, AL, Kruz of Florence, AL and Evan Southward of Florence, AL; and her close friend Stacy Barney. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church (220 E Alabama St, Florence, AL 35630).
