She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Stewart and Angie Stewart; her daughters, Peggy Allison and Jodi Gibson; and her grandson Andy Green.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Shirley Sr.; her children, Donna Sams (Ben) and Joseph Shirley, Jr. (Kelli); and her siblings, Carol Geijer, Angie Attreau, Linda Dodaro and Carl Stewart. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
