He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Lemley Posey; his parents, Early Posey and Aliene Jolly Posey; his siblings, Early Posey, Jr. and Helen Hornsby; his daughter Edith Mosley; and his grandchildren, Timothy Mosley and Byron Mosley.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Walker (Jim) and Rickey Posey (Theresa); his grandchildren, Joseph Mosley, Jonathan Mosley, Tina Treece (Kelly), Daniel Walker (Nina), Richie Posey (Kathy), Ginny Morrow (Darren), Jessi Molina (Brian) and Kellye Beth Posey; and his great grandchildren, Austin Keel, Caleb Walker, Noah Walker, Lily Morrow, Lorelei Posey, Luke Morrow and Evie Molina.
