It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Louis M. Thorpe (Newville, Alabama), who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Izora Chancey Tharp and Louie Melton Tharp; and also, Olan and Lena Williams. He is survived by: his sisters, Inez Tharpe Smith and Juanita Tharpe Tew; his children, Tracy Lee Thorpe, Tamera Thorpe Trenkler, Taron Keith Thorpe and Treva Thorpe Eddleman; his spouse Billie Virginia Ratliff of Yucaipa; and his grandchildren, Travis, Toni, Tucker, Kimberly, James, Melanie, Alexandria "Alex", Elizabeth "Libby" and Tessa Claire Eddleman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Old Center Church (764 Co Rd 89, Newville, AL 36353). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Old Center Church Cemetery (764 Co Rd 89, Newville, AL 36353).
