He was predeceased by: his wife Vaudeen Bobo Freeman; and his siblings, Margie Payne, Gladys Wilson, Armour Freeman and Unspecified Mary Freeman Boardman (Shelby).

He is survived by: his children, Mary Freeman Boardman (Shelby), Bura Randolph Freeman (Susie) and Margie Payne; and also Gladys Wilson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and a multitude of great and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International.
