She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Fowler Morrison and Aubrey Benson Morrison; her husband Robert Gist; her sister Ann Montz; her brothers-in-law, Lenson Montz and Robert Lucky; and her nephew Aubrey Jay Montz.
She is survived by: her sisters, Bennye Barnette (Braz) and Mary Jane Blankenship (David); her daughters, Judy Gist and Robin Herring (Mike); and her granddaughters, Jayna Hicks and Bethann Bullard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home- Tuscaloosa (6100 Old Greensboro Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro (1404 Main St, Greensboro, AL 36744).
