He was predeceased by: his parents, Murphy Jones and Lou Jones; and his sister DeAnna Woods. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Sharlene Jones; his children, Toney Jones Jr., Marilyn Jones Theriot, Vanessa Jones Mitchell (Jennie L. Snyder) and Christopher Jones (Holly F. Jones); his brother Ronnie Jones (Luevinnia Jones); his grandchildren, Bridget Baggett, Kyle Richerson, Thomas Richerson, Norma Jean Dorman, Coral Jones and Hunter Jones; and his great grandchildren, Braxton Clark, Madison Clark, Aubrey Richerson and Allison Baggett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Wounded Warriors in his name.
