He is survived by: his former wife Annie Ruth Cornelius; his wife Annie Ruth Roberts of Tait's Gap; his children, Rhonda Dillard (Wray) of Florence, Ala and Joel Brian Roberts (Sandy) of Gardendale, Ala; his grandchildren, Anna Dillard, Emily Dillard, Erin Blythe and Kristen Roberts; his sister Ima Ruth Whited; Tamie Blythe (Richard) of Madison, Ala.
