She was predeceased by: her husband August James Hawkins; her parents, Julius Tidmore and Luda Foster Tidmore; her stepmother Aleene Tidmore; and her siblings, Rufus Tidmore, Jimmy Tidmore and Virginia Scruggs.
She is survived by: her children, Janice H. "Buzzy" Kelley (James) and James W. "Bill" Hawkins (Eleanor); her grandchildren, Robin, Scott, Jason Hawkins, JoAnn Richardson and James "Jim" Richardson; her great grandchildren, Andrew Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins, Joshua Richardson and Brianna Richardson; and her great great grandchild Avery Hawkins.
