He was predeceased by : his father Pascual Covarrubias Rocha; his brothers, Isac Covarrubias and Miguel Covarrubias; and his son Juan Covarrubias. He is survived by : his mother Matiana Lopez; his siblings, Ramona Covarrubias, Tomasa Covarrubias, Manuela Covarrubias, Ma Dolores Covarrubias, Amalia Covarrubias, Lucio Covarrubias and Amador Covarrubias; and his daughter-in-law Gloria Rivera.
