Henry Lewis Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2021, at the age of 88, Henry Lewis Smith (Opelika, Alabama), born in Chinquapin, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Anna Beth Lynn Smith; his parents, Rev. William and Carrie Smith (Lewis); and his brother William Clifford Smith. He is survived by : his sister Lena Smith Knight; his children, Henry Lewis Smith, Jr., Sara Lynn Smith T (Dozier) of Opelika, Timothy Jefferies Smith (Rhonda) and Lisbeth Smith Chapman (Ben) of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Winston, Henry, Sara Hollis, Vera Elizabeth, Joanne Smith T, Wheeler, Hollis, Wrenn Smith, Anna Beth, Chap and Nancy Chapman; and also Anna Beth. He is also survived by his wife, his four children, and his twelve grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Southeast Alabama Presbytery, 300 Opelika Rd #3133, Auburn, AL 36830, to a fund that will provide a small monetary reward to those who recite the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
