With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Truitt of Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on May 15, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Starling Johnson and Edna Johnson; her spouse Lt. Brenton Truitt; her brother William Johnson; her children, Brent Truitt (Melanie), Brian Truitt and Christy Short (Bo); and her grandchildren, Brittany Truitt, Parker Short, Hunter Short, Lauren Short and Trent Truitt.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Lee County Humane Society, as she never met a stray animal she didn' t take in, or to a charity of your choosing.
