She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Sims and Martha Jane Sims; her husband Rufus A. Britton; her son Micky Ray Britton; and her siblings, Ilene Morris, Ruth Henshaw, Margaret Henshaw, Vernor Sims, Boyd Sims, Loyd Sims, Paul Sims, Bob Sims and Daniel Sims.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Lee, Faye Tallman, Sam Britton (Cindy), Mark Britton (Lisa), Curtis Britton (Karen) and Jeff Britton; and her brothers, Clark Sims, David Sims, Woodrow Sims (Judy) and James Robert Henshaw. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was employed by Serbin and GTE (Huntsville) and later worked as a caregiver for Alzheimer's patients.
