She was predeceased by : her father Joseph Ellis Crowson; her husband Huey Melvin; her children, Martha Truitt (Woody) and Billy Wayne Lucas; and her siblings, Charles E. Crowson, Marion Thomas Crowson, Edgar Lee Crowson (Peggy), Joe Franklin Crowson (Flora), Doris Marie Carter and Betty Jo Crowson.

She is survived by : her former life partner Edgar Eugene Lucas; her son Roger W. Lucas of Clanton, AL; and her sisters, Jean Gurley (Dennis) of Warrior, AL, Barbara C. Backes of Colorado, Wanda Holcomb (Doug) of Jemison, AL, Jerry Crowson of Oregon and Linda McKinney (Jim) of Calera, AL.. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
