It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emily Jane Phillips Belcher (Pelham, Alabama), born in Marietta, Georgia, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her friend June; and also Evans Belcher. She is survived by: her siblings, Phillips and Mary Gentry of Ellijay, Georgia; her children, Steven Belcher (Annette) of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Susan Lehman (Herman) of Montevallo; her grandchildren, Treville, Joseph Belcher and Jillyan Bevlaqua; her friends, Vernie Widener of Mount Ida, Arkansas. and Wallace Hardcastle; and also, Mark Hardcastle and Kim Reed. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and their children.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the graveside service will be limited to immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Jane's honor to your favorite charity, or to Shelby Emergency Assistance in Montevallo.
