In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Betty Jane leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Betty Jane may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her husband Hershel Nix; her children, Colton Gann, C. J. Nix, Rose Stephenson and Barbie Whitefield; her grandchildren, John Wesley Gann, Andrew Whitefield, Logan Whitefield, Terry Stephenson and DeDe Stephenson; and her brothers, Tommy Amell and Dean Amell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church (901 Comer Ave, Pell City, AL 35125). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
