It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Bailey (Phenix City, Alabama), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on March 13, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George Donald "Don" Bailey; and her brother John Hoyt Shepherd, Jr.. She is survived by: her parents, John Hoyt Shepherd, Sr. and Bernice Sanders Shepherd; her children, Kim Larimore (Bob) of Opelika, AL and Steve Bailey (Kathryn) of Phenix City, AL; her siblings, Shirley Shepherd Tuck of Cullman, AL, Jan Shepherd Pittman (Wes), Randy Shepherd (Tom) of Chapel Hill, NC and Jay Shepherd (Donna) of Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Matt Couch, Brian Couch, Patrick Bailey, Davis Larimore (Alison), Simon Larimore and John Michael Bailey; and her great grandchildren, Madison Larimore, Campbell Larimore, Belle Bailey, Grace Bailey and Connor Wyatt. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
