She was predeceased by: her parents, Loudie Herrin and Myrtle Lee Merritt Herrin; her husband Alvin Eugene Holmes; her son Donald Herndon; and her brothers, Joey Herrin and Frankie Herrin.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Schweinfurth of Phenix City, AL and George W. Herndon (Emilie) of Columbus, GA; her stepson Bill Holmes of Phenix City, AL; her siblings, Ola Pelez of Phenix City, AL, Virginia Murrin (Mike) of Savannah, GA and Donnie Herrin (Debbie) of Buena Vista, GA; and her grandchildren, Jason Schweinfurth, Timothy Schwe, Brandon Herndon, Chad Herndon, Brandi Herndon, Meagan Herndon and Amanda Herndon. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
