He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Jones and Florine Watson Jones; and his sister Gloria Fillingim. He is survived by: his wife Dot Jones; his children, Clayton Jones, Jerry Jones, Jr., Debora Williams and Lisa Boswell; his siblings, Tim Jones and Dyann Bowman; his grandsons, Ryan Yancey, Sam Beman, Jr., Nick Beman and Josh Beman; and his great grandchildren, Rose Yancy and Gloria Beman. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
