He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Elias and Everleaner McCoy Elias; his siblings, Frank Elias, Willie Elias, Andrew Elias, Lee Ernest Elias, Robert Elias Carter, Nora McCoy, Katherine Edwards, Ethel Mae McCoy and Florie Lee Edwards; and his grandchildren, Tavares Thomas and Shamika K. Butts.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Mae Elias; his children, Ron Lover (Gail), Bobby L. Elias (Linda), Wilfred Elias, Johnny B. Elias Jr. of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Garry R. Elias (Linda), Mark Elias (Stephanie) of Phenix City, AL, Dorotha Abercrombie (James), Kathleen Elias Johnson (Cassian) and Janet Elias McIntosh (late James McIntosh); and his grandchildren, Rolanda, Ronalda, Andrea, Latoya, Reggie, Fredrick, Marquita, Justin, Jared, Johnna, Jenna, Quinton, Darrius, Zachary, Tyson, Jasmine and Jade. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
