It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavada Caldwell-Smith of Phenix City, Alabama, born in Fort Benning, Georgia, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford G. Caldwell, Sr. and Lilburn Duncan Caldwell; and her husband John W. Smith, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Steven E. Smyth, Jr. (Beverly) of Smiths Station, AL; her brother Clifford G. Caldwell, Jr. (Misty) of Columbus, GA; and her nephew Jacob Caldwell (Christina).
