It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Ganus of Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Niles and Vera Niles; her former husband Harby Amerson; her sons, Jack Scott and Randy Scott; and her siblings, Ruby Niles, Voncile Godwin, Eric Niles and Edward Niles.
She is survived by: her husband Larry G. Ganus; her sons, Bill Scott (Patty) and Wesley Scott; and her stepchildren, Larry Shane Ganus (Tabatha) and Gwen Ganus. She is also survived by several grandchildren, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Phenix City (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (4310 N AL-1, Phenix City, AL 36867).
