She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jo and Jack L. Carpenter; her boyfriend Jose "Dooney" Gonzalez; her brother Forest Lemoris "Marcell" Carpenter; and her aunt Doris Nix.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Cain (Monica) and Jason Cain (Julie); her daughter-in-law Tanya Cain; her grandchildren, Cortlandt Cain, Ciara Cain, Bella Cain and Colton Cain; her uncle Douglas Powell (Sherry); her aunt Shelby Jean Garrett; her sibling's children, Amber LeAnne Carpenter and Forrest Jack Carpenter; and her friends, Barbara Jackson, Eva Wade, Barbara Gordon and Mary Adams. She is also survived by cousins and dearest friends.
