She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles "Melvin" Daye and Ethel Corbitt Carroll; her husband William R. "Bud" Carden; and her son William J. "Jeff" Carden. She is survived by: her daughter Sandy Lewack (Steve) of Columbus, GA; her sisters, LaDelle Dukes of Orangeburg, SC and Judy Smith of Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Trish King (Denny Grimes, Jr.) of Columbus, GA, Jamie King (Daniel Stevenson) of Calera, AL and Rachel Lewack of Brooklyn, NY; her great grandchild Riley Grimes of Columbus, GA; and her friend Carol Henderson of Columbus, GA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
