With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Joyce Welch (Phenix City, Alabama), born in Troy, Alabama, who passed away on September 21, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Mae Phenix and Alex E. Phenix; her husband Bennett Welch; and her siblings, Joseph Phenix and Agnes Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Conners (Bruce) of Orlando, Florida and Stephen Welch of Phenix City, Ala; her siblings, Robbie Conway and Earl Phenix of Columbus, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Prins, Shane Conners, Christopher Tate, Alisha Welch, Cassie Welch, Stevie Welch and Jeff Prins. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Columbus Hospice.
