He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary Loyce Smith Childree, Martha Rorrer, Lillian "Lynn" Etheridge and Sheila Gillens. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Jamie Rector (Adam), Jana Godfrey (Tim) and Dawn Short (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Olivia Connelly, Eliana Rector, Tori Short, Amber Short and Erik Short; and his brothers, Thomas Childree (Mary Beth) and Tony Childree (Becky). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
