It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberto Tovar Sr. of Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Jesus Diaz Tovar. He is survived by: his father Jose Tovar; his wife Maria Josefina Perez Tovar of Phenix City, AL; his children, Roberto Diaz Tovar, Jr., Juan Diaz Tovar, Nancy Tovar and Kevin Perez Popcatl; and his siblings, Isidro Tovar, Antonio Tovar, Mario Tovar, Arturo Tovar, Ruben Tovar, Maria Manjarrez, Olivia Jimenez, Carmen Fregoso and Lola Roybal. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
