She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Faircloth Hunter and Elige E. Hunter; her former husband John S. Belflowers, Sr.; her husband Sam; her children, Tammy R. Williams and John S. Belflowers, Jr.; and her siblings, Helen Modene, Martha Saxon and Eugene Hunter.

She is survived by: her grandsons, Joshua R. McGee and Brad A. Belflowers; her sister Barbara Stevenson (Henry); and her close friend Nell Stewart. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
