She was predeceased by: her parents, John Luther Benton and Minnie Kathleen Dickinson Benton; her brothers, John Arthur "Buddy" Benton, Jr. and James Walter Benton; and her daughters, Kathryn Cecelia Fowler and Sharon Ann Fowler.
She is survived by: her husband F. Dennis Fowler of Phenix City, AL; and her grandchildren, Michael Dennis Tante (Shannon), Thomas "Tommy" Edward Tante, Aaron Michael Hunt and Denise Ann Daugherty Bates (David). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
