It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Downey of Piedmont, Alabama, born in Centre, Alabama, who passed away on December 21, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Mae Downey; and his parents, Calvin "Mutt" Downey and Gaynell Hicks Downey. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Allen Downey and Pamela Louise Downey; his siblings, Donnie Downey (Twiana), Ralph Medley (Wyndie) and Tina Graham (Travis); and his grandsons, Joseph Cole Downey and Dexter Wooten.
