She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Cooper Hester and Paul C. Moore; her stepfather George Hester; her husbands, J. P. Rice and Joseph Harold Elliott; her stepson David Elliott; her granddaughter Marcie Elliott; and her sisters, Olive Precious Cole and Pauline Mayme Beeker.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Hightower (Jeffery) of Wadley; her daughter-in-law Yvette Elliott of Fayetteville, GA; her sons, David Paul Rice of Tuscaloosa, Stephen Mark Rice (Carol) of Atlanta, Jesse Carlton Elliott of Wadley and John Freeman Elliott (Laura) of Newnan, GA; her grandchildren, Beth Henry, Katie Johnson, Emilie Martinet, Shanna Holmes, Troy Tibbetts, Michelle Elliott, Katie Elliott, Jess Elliott, Madeline Elliott, John Elliott and Jake Elliott; and her sister Emily Knight Sanders. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
