He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Mac and Minnie Will Richardson Whaley; his daughter Rhonda Lynn Whaley; his grandson Russell Brett Frye; and his brothers, J. W. Whaley, Gene Whaley, Don Whaley and Clarence Whaley.
He is survived by: his wife Janell Whaley of Roanoke; his son Randy Whaley (Kathy) of Fitzgerald, GA; his grandchildren, Nick Whaley (Tashena) of Wartburg, TN, Allyson Cameron (Aaron) of Fitzgerald, GA, Jeremy Biggers (Megan) of Excel, AL and Will Biggers of Fitzgerald, GA; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Biggers of Excel, AL, Connor Biggers of Excel, AL and Dalton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
