She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Birdsong and Elizabeth Gay Birdsong; her husband John Robert Pool; and her sister Frances Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Elaine Postles of Foley and Sara Jean May of Valley; and her sister Jean Heard of Roanoke. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
