She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt James Yates Sr. and Jewell Moon Yates; her husband Dexter May; and her brother Hoyt James Yates, Jr.. She is survived by: her nephew Ronnie (Judy Yates) of Wedowee. She is also survived by several cousins and other extended family.
